Bloomquist Wins at Tazewell, Sets Track Record

Mooresville, NC (June 4, 2012)  Roush Yates engines had a fast weekend on the track, capturing wins and setting track records with drivers Scott Bloomquist, Greg Satterlee, and Tim Isenburg on the Dirt Late Model circuit.

Bloomquist swept the night’s activities at Tazewell Speedway on Sunday by setting the track record in time trials with a lap of 10.822 seconds, winning his heat, and dominating the feature to win his third Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series race of the season. Leading all 50 laps, Bloomquist held off Don O’Neal for most of the race in Tazewell, TN to capture the win.

“The car was just phenomenal tonight,” said Bloomquist. “The Roush Yates Engine ran perfect and the car handled so well, right from hot laps on. I want to thank my crew, sponsors, and everybody with my race team. Hopefully we can get on a roll again.”

The win marked Bloomquist’s 45th of his Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series career and moved him to third in the championship standings. Bloomquist drives a Roush Yates powered Ford 436 Dirt Late Model engine.

Tim Isenberg found Victory Lane twice this weekend with his 410 Ford Roush Yates Dirt Late Model engine, once at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, WI) and once at Lafayette County Speedway in Darlington. Isenberg led the majority of Friday night’s Corn Belt Clash in Fountain City and held off a hard-charging Jimmy Mars (also running a Roush Yates engine) to capture his first victory on the tour.

“I love racing with the series and to get my first series win over my car builder made it sweeter,” said Isenberg. “The series has some great competition and strong talent and this was a great win on a great track.”

Greg Satterlee found power with his Ford 436 Dirt Late Model engine on Sunday night at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, IN. Satterlee out dueled series regulars Dan Stone and Jason Covert to win his first speedweek event. This is Satterlee’s fifth win of the season in his first year driving a Roush Yates engine.

Roush Yates has posted 62 wins so far this season in 9 different engine programs. To learn more about Roush Yates and Roush Yates Performance Products, visit us online at www.roushyatesparts.com or call 1-877-798-RYPP.
